Soft Tissue Release (STR) is an effective treatment for active individuals.
It’s a form of bodywork designed specifically to impact the neuromuscular system.
Soft Tissue Release is a combination of Myofascial Release, Therapeutic Massage, and Active Assisted Stretching. This technique involves applying precise pressure during a specific stretch performed by the therapist or client.
The goal is to manipulate the nervous system in an effort to release the injured muscle, leading to regaining the original resting length of that muscle.
These techniques can be applied to soft tissue injuries in both acute (with 48 hours of an injury) and chronic (persisting over a long period of time) situations.
